It’s time for the 8th Annual Vegas Cares RARE Kids Charity Race! So, save the date! Saturday, February 10, 2024, is race day. You may choose to participate in the 5K Run ($45), or the 1M Walk ($35). We’ve been making this an annual event that SNAFU participates in ever since Shaun Greene became an officer and told us about it. He does it for his daughter, Payton. We do it to support him and his family, and the community they’re a part of. Did you know that there are over 7,000 rare diseases in the world? Did you know that more than 50% of rare diseases affect children? Did you know that 55% of families will incur direct medical expenses not covered by insurances? When you sign up, make sure you sign up under the group, “Payton Strong.”

You will get a T-shirt and a race number. Packet pick up will begin at 7:30am the morning of the 10th. Opening remarks are at 8:30am. The run itself starts at 9:15. There’s an award ceremony at 10:30, and closing remarks at 11:00am. In the past, Comrade Day has historically taken place on the same day. What better way to earn your beer?
